Luton Airspace and Stack Changes causing havoc in South Cambridgeshire Villages
Luton Airspace now comprises new flightpaths and holding stack area across northern parts of South Cambridgeshire and into Huntingdonshire. The changes took effect in February 2022 with the permission of the National Air Traffic Services (NATS). The changes are now causing a lot of havoc to many villages in South Cambridgeshire.
East West Rail continues to raise political temperatures
Weather temperatures have been high this week across the country and a new high was recorded in Cambridge. Political high temperature is being aimed for by some using the proposed East West Rail project as a lighter, confusing residents unnecessarily.

East West Rail Local Representatives Group Meeting
East West Rail Company in its bid to keep communities along the proposed Bedford to Cambridge route informed, set up a number of local representative groups. Communities in Caldecote Ward are in the South Cambridgeshire West Local Representative Group. The second meeting of the group and EWR took place recently to provide some update information.
Standing room only at meeting of residents on Luton Airspace change
The new Luton stack and arrival routes were approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in February. It means that aircraft flightpaths to Luton and the holding stack location are changing. The changes now affect northern part of South Cambridgeshire and St Neots-Grafham Water part of Huntingdonshire. It is known as Airspace Deployment 6 (AD6).

Battling for Direct Access to A428 from Bourn Airfield New Village
The planned new village of up to 3,500 houses at Bourn Airfield took another step forward in its journey to become reality on Wednesday 2nd October 2019. The Cabinet approved the Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which sets out the design principles for the new village but without a direct access to A428 dual carriageway.
