Caldecote
Caldecote is a popular sought after village in South Cambridgeshire district. It is located south of the A428 about 7 miles west of Cambridge City and three miles east of Cambourne.
There are just over 600 houses in the village, with a population of around 1600 people.
According to Wikipedia, Highfields Caldecote is a newer development in the north of the village, and the older part of the village, Old Caldecote, lies to the south, just off the B1046 road and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.[2]
The parish church, St. Michael and All Angels, parts of which date to the 14th Century, is located in Old Caldecote. Bourn Brook and the route of the former Oxford and Cambridge Railway runs to the south of the village.
