Infinite Wait for BT Infinity for Madingley Exchange Communities

Sometimes, getting stuff done requires taking unusual steps ….

Following on from my previous post explaining how the BT rollout of superfast broadband had halted for Madingley Exchange, I attended the Cambourne Parish Council meeting on the evening of 2nd April 2013, to protest to Annette Thorpe.

It was a last ditch effort to get some answers from a communications organisation that does not do communications very well.

Our meeting afterwards was extremely useful and yielded a commitment from Mrs Thorpe to attend the Annual Parish Council meeting in Caldecote on 17th April 2013, 8pm at the Village Hall. This meeting will give residents of the village the opportunity to ask and have their questions answered direct from the horses mouth so-to-speak.

I was reassured that our communities had not been forgotten and given the hope that we should be able to gain entry onto the superfast broadband highway by the end of April 2013. OK, I may not believe it just yet …… and I have reason to be sceptical! To paraphrase Thomas the disciple often called “doubting Thomas”,  “when I can see the BT engineer at my house connecting the equipment, and in fact can download stuff from the web in the twinkling of an eye, then I will believe that I have superfast broadband”.

Roll on end of April 2013 …. I’m not betting on it though.
