LibDems helping young people get on in life

Tackling youth unemployment is one of the top priorities for the Liberal Democrats. On Tuesday Nick Clegg was in Salford to announce an extra £50m in funding the for youth contract, a scheme which provides a simple cash incentive for businesses to take on young people.

This is making a real difference, with 4,000 young people a month now starting work because of the scheme. That’s 4,000 young people who are able to get on in life thanks to the Lib Dems being in Government.

But there are still thousands of young people out there who could benefit from an apprenticeship, and it is important that we make sure they know what’s possible.

That’s why the Liberal Democrats have produced information packs on apprenticeships for young people, parents and businesses.

Do you know a young person, a parent or a business who might be interested in hearing more about apprenticeships? Please forward them this email now – they can get information from our Million Jobs website:

For young people – http://www.amillionjobs.org/young_people

For parents – http://www.amillionjobs.org/parents

For businesses – http://www.amillionjobs.org/businesses

Helping young people get on in life is an important part of creating a stronger economy in a fairer society. With your help, we can make sure as many of them as possible get the opportunities they deserve.
